Sydneysiders in 14 suburbs have been urged to monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 and get tested if they appear after the virus was detected in sewerage.
NSW Health issued the warning on Wednesday after their sewerage surveillance program detected fragments of the virus at the West Hornsby Wastewater Treatment Plant in Sydney s northwest.
This catchment takes in the suburbs of Glenorie, Wahroonga, Thornleigh, Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Galston, Dural, Westleigh, Glenhaven, Waitara, Hornsby, Normanhurst and West Pennant Hills.

The Australian ($), the Queensland government is considering flying international travellers into remote workers camps after an outbreak of the UK COVID-19 strain at a Brisbane hotel led to hundreds of people being forced to repeat quarantine.

Deputies said on Monday that Rene Solorio, 35, was arrested last week and has been booked into the Vista Detentional Facility on a felony hit-and-run charge. He is being held on $200,00 bail.
Shortly after the crash, officials said the registered owner of the SUV was not the suspect, but that they believed someone borrowed the SUV and that the owner may know who the driver was. The suspect at the time was described as a 6-foot-tall man in his 30s with short hair and an approximately 4-inch beard. Solorio is, in fact, 5 feet 8 inches tall.
After the crash, Rosie’s Cafe then-manager, Sandy Nelbroski, said Pilsbury had suffered horrible injuries in the crash.

When the next drought comes, from where will we source replacement water for what has disappeared into the void beneath our catchments, $100 million or not (‘‘Coal miner offers $100m to counter water losses from its mine’’, January 12)?

I am having difficulty in understanding how $100 million will prevent cracks, subsidence and water loss and yet still allow the project to be ‘‘a positive contributor to the metropolitan water supply’’.
